Xinquan Jiang

Prof. Xinquan Jiang, Professor & Ph.D. Supervisor, Winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Recipient of the State Council Special Government Allowance, is now served as Dean of Shanghai Stomatological Hospital, Fudan University, director of Shanghai Engineering and Research Center for Advanced Dental Technology and Materials. Currently, he is also a distinguished professor at Shanghai Jiao tong University and an honorary professor at the University of Sydney (Faculty of Engineering and IT).

He serves as the President of IADR Chinese Division (International Association for Dental Research), and as a Council Member for the IADR Asia-Pacific Region, the first Chinese President of ICP (International College of Prosthodontists, 2022-2023). He is a Fellow of the Biomaterials Science and Engineering (FBSE), a Fellow of the International College of Dentists (ICD), lifetime member of International Chinese Musculoskeletal Research Society (ICMRS). He is the Vice President of Chinese Stomatological Association Council, President of the of Chinese Prosthodontic Society, Vice President of the Chinese Oral Biomedicine Committee and Stomatological Hospital Committee of China Hospital Association. He is also the Standing Councilor of Chinese Society for Biomaterials Council and the President of Chinese Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Committee. Jiang was also invited as a member of the 8^th subject consultative group for the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, and the editorial member of 5 International Journals.

Prof. Jiang's research focuses on prosthodontics and regenerative medicine, with particular emphasis on bone regeneration and oral function restoration using tissue engineering and regenerative medicine strategies. He currently serves as the Principal Investigator of a major National Science Fund for Innovative Research Group, and is the Chief Scientist of China’s National Key Research and Development Program during both the 13th and 14th Five-Year Plan periods (2016-2026). He has led or co-led more than 20 national and international research grants and evidence-based clinical trials, with a total funding of approximately RMB 112.6 million. With 183 publications in peer-reviewed journals, his work has achieved a cumulative Impact Factor of 1564 and an H-index of 57. His research has been featured in leading journals such as Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, Advanced Science, Biomaterials, and Journal of Dental Research. Additionally, he has been invited to deliver keynote or invited lectures at over 30 significant national and international conferences. He has also contributed to the compilation of 14 nationally planned textbooks for higher education.

He won the prestigious IADR/Unilever Hatton Award in 2005 and was awarded by many national-level honors, such as the National Excellent Scientific and Technical Worker, Young Scientific and Technological Innovation Leading Talent of China, etc. He has long been engaged in teaching, guiding students to win several awards, including the first ICP Research Grant Program (ICP Research Grant Program) in 2016, the first prize of the Authur R Frechette 2016 new investigator award in the Prosthodontics Division and the Young investigator prize in the Oral Implantology Division, National Natural Science Foundation of China for Excellent Young Scholars, Young Elite Scientist Sponsorship Program by CAST, etc.
