Maria Menini

Maria Menini, DDS, PhD graduated with first class honours in Dentistry from the University of Genoa, Italy in 2006. Since then she collaborates with the clinical, teaching and research activity of the Division of Prosthodontics and Implant Prosthodontics of Genoa University (Department of Surgical Sciences - DISC) and since November 2020 she is the head of this Division.

She received her PhD in Internal Medicine in 2013.

Since 2010 up to 2021 she has been a full-time Assistant Professor and since March 2021 she is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Genoa University for the Odontostomatologic scientific area.

Since 2012 she is teaching Prosthodontics in the Degree Course of Dentistry and in the Degree course of Dental Hygiene at Genoa University.

Since April 2021 she is President of the Degree Course of Dentistry of the University of Genova.

Since 2011 up to 2020 she has been teacher and scientific coordinator of the Master Course in “Implant Prosthodontics”. Since November 2020 she is President of this master course.

Her research activity is focused on implant prosthodontics with particular attention to the factors affecting the outcomes of full-arch immediate loading rehabilitations, restorative materials for implant-supported prostheses and dental implant surfaces.

She has been a lecturer in national and international scientific meetings.

She holds a patent (inventor) released in 2019, title: "Protesi dentale fissa perfezionata e suo metodo di fabbricazione", n. 102017000039742.

She is the author of more than 100 scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals.

She is co-author of the book “Columbus Bridge Protocol”, edited by Quintessence in Italian language in 2009 and in English language in 2012.
