Janice Kan
Dr Janice Kan is a Prosthodontist and Director of her private specialist group practice, Centre for Prosthodontics, Australia. She was awarded the Wyn Needham Memorial Prize when she received her Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours) degree at the University of Western Australia in 2001. In 2007, she earned commendations with the completion of the Primary Examinations of The Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS). Upon her graduation from the 3-year full time Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics) degree at the University of Melbourne, Dr Kan founded the Centre for Prosthodontics, formerly known as Perth Prosthodontics in 2011. Joined by her team of esteemed prosthodontists, Centre for Prosthodontics has now expanded to offer treatment in multiple practice locations.
She is the Past President and Fellow of The Academy of Australian and New Zealand Prosthodontists (AANZP), the peak organisation in the specialty field of Prosthodontics. She has also been appointed the role of Study Club Coordinator within the Australasian Section leadership team of the International Team for Implantology (ITI). She is a Fellow of notable organisations, such as the ITI, International College of Dentists (ICD), and the Academy of Dentistry International (ADI) and a Member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. Notably, she is the Founder and Past President of the Women in Dentistry Society WA.
She is a guest lecturer for various organisations, such as the ITI, International College of Prosthodontists (ICP) and American College of Prosthodontists (ACP). Her interests are implant biomechanics and complex dental rehabilitation, with publications in Clinical Oral Implants Research and ITI Treatment Guide.
