Duhyeong Lee
Dr. Dewey (Du Hyeong) Lee is a Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics. He is an active clinician and researcher with a focus on chairside digital dentistry, including facial scanning, implant guide fabrication, and artificial intelligence. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and collaborates actively on international research initiatives. He previously served as Editing Director of the Journal of Advanced Prosthodontics (SCIE Journal). His academic excellence has been recognized with honors, including the David A. Felton Award from the American College of Prosthodontists and the Schottlander Award from the British Society of Prosthodontics.
Before his current appointment, Dr. Lee was a tenured Full Professor at Kyungpook National University (KNU) School of Dentistry, where he held several leadership roles, including Director of the Department and Director of the Institute for Translational Research in Dentistry. He also served as a Visiting Associate Professor at the University of Iowa. He completed military service as a doctor in the Korean Army.
Dr. Lee earned his DDS from KNU in 2006, followed by a Master’s degree and PhD from Yonsei University in 2009 and 2016. He completed his prosthodontics residency at Yonsei University Dental Hospital and affiliated Wonju Severance Christian Hospital in 2010.
